I am an artist with a mission. We have all experienced that moment of epiphany when the world, cloaked in beauty, reveals itself to us. Those moments, precious and rare, remind us that beauty does exist and that life is indeed beautiful. Using color and canvas I endeavor to communicate my experience of those moments. And although our ideas of what is beautiful may be different I seek the common thread where our experiences can meet.

 I have studied both the ephemeral Zen art of the East and the detailed and rich visual arts of the West. Eastern art teaches us about free and spontaneous creation born out of intense study and practice until the essence of an object and our expression of it are one. In a few quick strokes the Zen artist communicates startling realities. Western art teaches us about permanent, majestic and vibrant expressions in color and form. But the art of the West can become stultified and heavy, weighed down by its medium.

 By fusing of the economy and spontaneity of the East with the vibrancy and richness of the West I hope to produce for you an experience and a reminder of your moments of epiphany.
